Ghent, Belgium, 8 October, 2025 – Atomyx, the cloud platform for print production automation, has announced a major update to Atomyx Prepare, its cloud-based artwork processing API. The new release introduces flexible subscription options and simplified API endpoints, giving developers and print service providers easier, more predictable access to industrial-grade preflighting and file preparation technology.
“Atomyx Prepare has always been about making powerful prepress automation technology available in the cloud,” said Tom Peire, Chief Evangelist at Atomyx. “With this release, we’re lowering the barrier for both developers and printers to integrate scalable, high-performance file processing into their workflows, without having to manage software installations or servers.”
New predictable Subscription Plan
Previously, Atomyx Prepare offered only credit-based pay-per-use plans, ideal for scalability but less predictable in cost. The new Threads Plan gives users a fixed monthly or yearly fee, based on the number of files they want to process simultaneously.
Each Thread allows one concurrent process and is priced at €175/month or €1750/year. Credit plans remain available starting at €50/month, offering a choice between flexibility and budget predictability.

Simplified Developer Endpoints: Common Checks & Fixes
The update also introduces Common Checks and Common Fixes. Developers can now access the most-requested artwork checks and fixes directly through API endpoints - without diving deep into PDF technology.
Common Checks include: image resolution, text size, page dimensions, spot colors, and layer usage.
Common Fixes include: page boxes, bleed, and print marks.
These ready-made endpoints make it faster and easier for developers to integrate Atomyx Prepare without extensive knowledge of underlying PDF technology. The list will continue to expand based on customer feedback.
